*Note from Samantha: I was very saddened by the death of Anthony Bourdain last year, one of my great inspirations and role models. I wrote this song for him the day he died. "Spaceship" is about isolation and loneliness, a feeling most of us have experienced at some point in our lives. The song is a tribute to Anthony and his show, "Parts Unknown," in my opinion, a gift to humanity illustrating the many complicated, beautiful, and painful elements of life on the planet Earth. I feel privileged to have experienced a little piece of him, if only from afar. Thanks for everything, Anthony. RIP.
